MOSCOW, Jun 3 (PRIME) -- The Russian government has supported a Finance Ministry’s bill exempting households’ income from gold ingot sale from the tax in 2022 and 2023, the ministry said in a statement on Friday.
"In order to raise attractiveness of investment in gold as an instrument of households’ savings in the current conditions, we suggest exempting the households' income from the sale of gold in ingots for two years (2022 and 2023)," the ministry said.
The government will also not charge for the transfer of securities and money from a broker under sanctions to a different broker in 2022. The income on the deals forced by sanctions will be exempt from the personal income tax, the ministry said.
